Memorial Day! Summer is here! We sure could use some rain but there's not a cloud in the sky.

Miles and Miles

I don't even want to imagine how many miles I've driven the lawn mower already this year. I mowed another 2.3 hours today and am not even half done. I think I got a little sunburned, too.

Thundery Morning and Evening

5-25-10Looks like the grass has not stopped growing. I need to get the mower out again! Today we had a little rain and it looks tonight like we might be having more. I'm hearing thunder out there right now.

Sauna

It's unseasonably hot today and windy. I had to water my little tomato plants which were looking pretty droopy. I have only ONE pepper plant left now; the rabbits have eaten the others which were not protected.

(Un)Officially Summer

It's hot enough (upper 80's) and humid enough to be a summer day in July. This sudden change is bit uncomfortable. I turned on the air conditioning, just to remove some of the humidity. Tomorrow's high temperature is supposed to be in the 90's!

Eddy Currents

It's too bad this photo isn't a video because things are really blowing around out there. I did get about 90 minutes of mowing done and ended up covered by grass clippings.
